To botox or no-tox?

Considering injections to make you look your best? Here’s what you need to know.

If I was to get Botox before my wedding, how close can I do it to the wedding?

Men and women frequently come into my office asking how they can refresh their appearance prior to the “big day.” Botox is a great option to achieve a fresher, smoother appearance without any downtime. The most commonly requested treatment areas include the frown area between the eyebrows, the forehead and crow’s feet. Many of my patients also request a Botox brow lift, which opens up the eye in a natural way, and creates a more rested appearance. Although there is no downtime with Botox, it takes up to 14 days for the treatment to take full effect. For this reason, I suggest having your treatment one month prior to your wedding date. This will also allow sufficient time for a touch up (if needed) so you can confidently put your best face forward on your special day.
