The wedding guestbook is essential for your reception. You need to provide a guestbook so you will have a fun remembrance of those who attended your special day. The wedding guestbook can be as simple as an autograph book set up near the entrance but you can get creative with it if you like. A creative guestbook doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. In fact, most of these ideas are very inexpensive and don’t take much work at all to accomplish. Here are some of the best ideas for the wedding guestbook.

Beach wedding – Supply a selection of smooth river stones and permanent markers. Guests can write their names on the stones. Then, use the stones in a fountain, fish tank or terrarium.

Plates – Provide several or more plastic plates along with coloured markers. You can choose coloured markers that match your wedding colours. Guests write names on the plates. Seal with coating and they can be displayed in your home.

Posters – Set up an easel with a blank poster board. Supply various coloured pens or markers for guests to sign. Later, use a poster frame so you can hang the poster on your wall.

Create a personal guestbook - Have a book printed with photos of both of you – you can do this through your local photo shop. Save plenty of room in the margins. Have guests sign the book so it can be used as a keepsake.

Photo and Signature Book – Have guests take self-portraits with an instant camera, then place them into a book and sign it. It automatically creates a guestbook including pics of all your guests – an instant memory!

Ribbons – Hang fabric ribbons on boards and have guests sign the ribbons with permanent fabric markers. You can use the ribbons to create a pillow or wall hanging for your home. The ribbons can be of any colour combination that matches your wedding colours.

Themed guestbooks – Choose an item that fits into your wedding theme and have guests sign it. For example, if you have a western theme get a cowboy hat and have everyone sign it. Later you can use the item as a decorative piece in your home.
