Every bride wants to be in great shape for their wedding day. In order to prepare for your big day you’ll want to spend some time working out. Workouts should be done at least several months before the wedding in order to do any good. You can lose weight, tone up, and get fit, to be in your best shape possible for your wedding. In order to maintain a regular workout it needs to be fun and motivational or you simply won’t want to keep doing it. Here are six of the top pre-wedding workouts to try.

Zumba – This fun and fast-paced workout can be performed in a group at the gym or alone with a DVD at home. Either way, you’re going to get a very effective (and somewhat difficult) workout that forces you to use all your majour muscle groups. It’s a great way to start or end the day and the high energy is certainly uplifting.

Yoga / Pilates – Combine yoga routines and pilates and you get a low impact workout that is great for toning and firming every part of your body. If you enjoy floor work, this is a workout you’ll like.

Belly dancing – Sure it’s great fun – the word “dance” is built right in. But belly dancing is also a great workout. The vibe is sensual and anyone can quickly learn the moves to start reaping the rewards. Take a belly dance
class with your BFFs or simply throw in an instructional DVD at home.

Boxing / Kickboxing – New boxing centres are popping up to accommodate a new type of fitness workout – kickboxing. It’s a great way to add more contour and strength to your frame while losing a few extra pounds if you want.

Ballet Workout – Ballet workouts are extremely tough but can be tremendously fun and satisfying at the same time. Ballet tones the body and helps improve muscles and posture.

Spinning and Kranking – Spinning (cycling with legs) and kranking (arms) are great workouts that are also fun and challenging. You’ll tone your whole body and get a super aerobic workout at the same time.
