As a bride you want to smell as beautiful as you look. When choosing a bridal perfume you want it to be wonderful, yet not overpowering in any way. Your bridal perfume should be a reflection of your own personal style. Here are some tips to keep in mind when choosing the scent for your special day.

• Choose a signature scent. Opt for a scent you love and it will quickly become your own signature scent.

• Don’t let it overpower you. You’ll want a subtle scent that gently whiffs when you pass by or get near.

• Visit a perfume bar to find your perfect scent. Try on lots of different choices and take home some samples of your top picks.

• Try on perfume at different pulse points and at different times of day. Keep in mind that sweat and stress can make your perfume change slightly.

• Create your own individual perfume at a mixing bar. This ensures that your perfume is uniquely your own.

• If the perfume you like is too strong, choose the cologne version or make it softer by diluting it before you use it.

• Choose a perfume that your groom likes. You certainly don’t want to wear a scent that he finds unpleasing.

• Think about your personality when choosing a scent. Do you prefer floral, citrus, or earth fragrances? Make sure that the perfume you pick is one that you really like.

• Don’t try out a new perfume for the first time on your wedding day. Instead, take some time a few weeks or more prior to your wedding to wear it and make sure it’s something you like.

• Layer your scent to make a more beautiful aroma. Start by using scented shower gel and use scented lotion and powder before adding the final layer of perfume to the mix.

• Pick a scent that isn’t common. You don’t want to have other people wearing the same perfume as you at your wedding.

• If you have a scent that you already adore, try it out before the wedding. Make sure to keep a small spray with you so you can update your scent during the evening.
